Photo: Mace Publishing, LLC What do you do if a leg comes loose from your chair or your toaster stops working? Maybe you'd like to fix it but you don't know how, or you don't have the tools. This is where Repair Café comes in. Repair Café brings together people with various skills to help to fix items and, more importantly, to pass on the knowledge. Advance registration is helpful, but optional. Walk-ins are welcome. But make sure to get there on the early side, to make sure that there's time left to get your item worked on. These events can draw big crowds at times. There are periodic Repair Café Workshops where you can bring in your broken item and you're paired with someone who knows how to fix it. Things to be fixed: Furniture Electrical Appliances Toys Jewelry Non-electrical items … and more … If you are skilled in repairs and would like to get involved, let them know what your specialty is.
