Regal Cinemas hosts a $5 advance screening on Mystery Movie Monday

Regal Cinemas is hosting a mystery movie night where you can watch an unreleased film for five dollars before its official premiere. The catch is that the title remains a secret until the lights go down, with only the runtime and rating shared in advance. For the screening on Monday, August 10, the film is rated R and runs for just over two hours, making this particular event best suited for parents or families with older teens. Participating local theaters include Regal North Hills in Raleigh, Regal Crossroads in Cary, and Regal White Oak in Garner. Tickets are five dollars per person, and Regal Crown Club members can purchase a small popcorn and drink combo for nine dollars. Parking is free and plentiful at the Cary and Garner locations, while the North Hills location utilizes parking decks that can get busy on weekday evenings, so plan to arrive twenty minutes early to find a spot. This event makes a great budget-friendly escape from the August heat. It is an easy, low-stakes way to squeeze in a cheap date night or a fun outing with your high schoolers without spending a fortune on tickets.
