Reading Time with Ms. Chloe

Reading Time with Ms. Chloe is a program at the Durham Main Library where children can practice reading aloud and blending phonics sounds during a private session. What to Know: You must register in advance online to secure one of the twenty-minute appointments. There is no cost to attend. You can bring a book from home, or Ms. Chloe will select books appropriate for your child's reading level. Parents and guardians are not required to sit in on the session but must stay on the children's floor of the library during the appointment. Please note that missing two appointments in a row without calling will result in the cancellation of your remaining sessions for the month. This program offers a quiet, supportive environment to help your child practice essential literacy skills with direct guidance. It is a practical weekday stop to support your child's schoolwork and build their reading confidence.
