Pottery Pumpkins + Gourds is a hands-on clay workshop where participants learn to sculpt hollow ceramic fall decorations. Instructors guide you through the hand-building process step-by-step, so you do not need any prior clay experience to join. This weekday morning class takes place at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, which offers free parking in the adjacent lot and nearby street spaces. The class is best suited for adults and older teens who can focus during a two-hour instructional period. Be sure to wear clothes you do not mind getting dusty with clay. Taking a morning class is a practical way to carve out some creative time for yourself before the busy holiday season begins. You will leave with custom, handmade autumn decor that you can display on your porch or dining table year after year.
