Enjoy the fun of drop-in art-making activities for all ages popping up across the Museum galleries and Park. In this session, join us to create your own sculpted pendant, inspired by the dazzling details of pendants in the ancient American collection.
What is Pop-Up Art: Miniature Figures? This is a free, drop-in crafting workshop where children and parents can sculpt clay pendants inspired by the museum's ancient American collection. What to Know: The workshop runs from noon to 3:00 PM, and you can arrive at any point during those hours. It is best suited for preschool and elementary-aged children who can handle small pieces of clay. Parking at the museum is free and plentiful, though the lots closest to the main building fill up quickly on Sunday afternoons. All crafting materials are provided at no cost. This event makes a great weekend stop because it requires zero planning or tickets. You can easily pair the quick art project with a walk through the outdoor park or a stroll through the air-conditioned galleries.
