Pollinators in Our Parks is an outdoor science and service program where children help care for local wildflower gardens. Participants will assist with weeding, watering, and citizen science projects that support the local insect population. What to Know: This program is designed for children ages six and older. Registration is three dollars for Cary residents and five dollars for non-residents. Wear closed-toe shoes that can get muddy, and bring a labeled water bottle for your child. Carpenter Park has a dedicated parking lot near the play area and restrooms are available on-site. This event is an easy way to get kids outdoors after school for some hands-on science. It offers a productive, screen-free afternoon where children can contribute to their local community space.
