Playdough Playtime (Ages 2-6)

Playdough Playtime is a free, hands-on sensory event for young children at the Southwest Regional Library in Durham. Kids can use a variety of colorful doughs and sculpting tools to build, squish, and create in a relaxed group setting. This program is designed for children ages two to six along with their caregivers. It is completely free to attend, and while registration is helpful for planning, you can still drop in without a reservation. If your child has a gluten allergy, you can email the staff ahead of time to request kinetic sand and sanitized tools instead of playdough. It is a simple, low-stress outing to add to your weekday morning routine. You get to leave the messy cleanup to the library while your child practices their fine motor skills and plays alongside other local kids.
