Stretch, breathe, and unwind alongside some furry friends—kittens if we’ve got them, but sometimes grown cats (or even a pup!) will step in. Either way, your support directly helps provide lifesaving medical care for animals in need. $25 donation to our Medical Fund. Pre-register before event Click here to sign up for pet yoga!
Pet Yoga at Orange County Animal Services is a charity fitness class where participants practice gentle stretches in the company of adoptable shelter animals. Depending on availability, you might share your mat with playful kittens, adult cats, or even a friendly puppy. To attend, you must pre-register online and pay the twenty-five dollar registration fee, which goes directly to the shelter's medical fund. This event is best suited for teenagers and adults who can remain calm and quiet on their mats around the animals. You will need to bring your own yoga mat or a large towel, as the shelter does not provide them. This is a peaceful way to start your Saturday morning while supporting a critical local cause. It offers a relaxed, low-pressure environment to meet some of the shelter's current residents if you are considering adoption.
What is the cost to attend and where do the funds go?
Registration is twenty-five dollars per person, and all proceeds go directly to the Orange County Animal Services Medical Fund to pay for lifesaving veterinary care.
Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?
Yes, you must bring your own yoga mat or a large towel, as equipment is not provided by the shelter.
Can children participate in this yoga class?
Because the animals roam freely and require a calm environment, this session is best for older children, teenagers, and adults.
