PEEL Collab: color film dev + scan is a hands-on photography workshop where participants learn to develop 35mm color negative film and digitize the results. The session begins at the Photofarm darkroom for the chemical development process before moving to Peel Gallery to scan the dry negatives. This workshop is open to participants ages 15 and older, though teenagers under 18 require parental consent to register. The registration fee is $225, which includes the instruction and lab fees. You must bring one pre-exposed roll of 35mm color negative film (C-41 process) and a USB drive or external hard drive to save your digital files. Class size is strictly limited to four participants, ensuring plenty of direct guidance from instructors Phyllis B. Dooney and Lindsay Metivier. If you have a creative high schooler who is interested in analog photography, this class offers a rare chance to use professional darkroom equipment. It is a highly practical, focused evening that teaches a tangible skill they can use for future art projects.
