Page Farms Pumpkin Picking is a seasonal autumn event in Raleigh where visitors can harvest their own pumpkins and play on a working family farm. Located right off Mount Herman Road, this fourth-generation farm opens its gates for a morning of traditional fall activities designed for younger children. What to Know: Admission is $14 per person, which covers the corn maze, hayride, cow train, and access to the playground and farm animals. Children under age two get in free. The farm has a gravel parking lot with plenty of space, but the terrain is bumpy, so leave the umbrella stroller at home and bring a rugged wagon or baby carrier instead. Port-a-potties are available on-site, and you can purchase snacks and farm-fresh items at the farm store. This weekday morning slot is a smart pick for parents of preschoolers who want to avoid the massive Saturday crowds. You get full access to the activities in a much quieter, more relaxed environment.
