Page Farms Pumpkin Picking is an annual autumn event where visitors can harvest their own pumpkins directly from the vine on a working family farm in Raleigh. Located just off Mount Herman Road, this fourth-generation farm opens its gates for a morning of traditional agricultural activities designed for young children. What to Know: Admission is 14 dollars per person, which includes access to the pumpkin patch, a hayride around the property, a corn maze, and the barnyard playground. Children can also see farm animals and play in the corn crib. Parking is free on-site in the grass lot. Because this is a working farm with dirt paths, leave the flimsy strollers at home and opt for a sturdy wagon or baby carrier instead. This weekday morning slot is an ideal outing for parents with toddlers and preschoolers who want to beat the intense weekend crowds.
