Page 158 Books in Wake Forest is hosting its first local author book fair on Saturday, November 7, from 10 am to 2 pm. Authors will set up in the parking lot and inside the store's non-fiction section, so you can browse, chat and buy books straight from the people who wrote them.

The store lists a mix of genres, and much of it is aimed at older readers, including romance, horror and mystery. For younger kids, two authors are listed for children's books, and a few more write young adult fiction, so it could be a nice stop to pick up a gift or a new read for a tween or teen. The store does not give an age range for the day.

Admission is free, and the store says RSVPs on Eventbrite are appreciated. Parking details are not mentioned, so plan for a little extra time. The address is 415 Brooks Street, Suite B. Questions can go to the store at (919) 435-1843.
