One Tribe Drum Circle at Dix Park June 5 is a free, collaborative outdoor music-making event held at the park's Stone Houses Visitor Center. Led by the instructors from One Tribe, this gathering invites participants of all skill levels to share in a collective rhythm session. If you plan to attend, registration is required even though the event is free. You are welcome to bring your own hand percussion instruments, but the organizers will also have drums available for anyone to borrow. Chairs are provided on-site, making it easy to sit and play. This activity is best suited for school-aged children and teenagers who can follow basic rhythm patterns, though younger siblings are welcome to listen and shake a rattle. This event makes a smart addition to your weekend plans because it offers an active, hands-on way to wind down on a Friday evening. It gets the kids outdoors and burning off energy in a relaxed, community-focused setting.
