What is Oakwood Series 2026: From the Ground Up? This is an outdoor historical theater production where actors portray real residents buried in Raleigh's Historic Oakwood Cemetery. If you plan to go, keep in mind that the performance takes place outdoors among the graves, so you will want to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the evening temperature. Because of the mature themes of death and local history, this event is best suited for middle schoolers, teenagers, and adults rather than toddlers. Parking is available on-site, but you should arrive early to find a spot and walk to the performance area. This production offers a thoughtful way to spend a fall weekend learning about the people who shaped the Triangle.
