Upcoming NCMA After Hours Events NCMA-After Hours Thursday, September 17, 2026 5:30 to 9 p.m. West Building Enjoy a special NCMA After Hours takeover with the North Carolina Museum of History. Featuring Stitched in Tradition: Indigenous Fashion Showcase, the evening highlights culture, identity, and creative expression through fashion. Stitched in Tradition brings together Indigenous designers from North Carolina tribal communities whose work carries forward tradition while speaking to the present moment. The evening begins with an opening song and showcase of traditional regalia. The runway then becomes a place for storytelling, with designers presenting collections that reflect community, resilience, and lived experience. More than a fashion show, Stitched in Tradition celebrates the continued presence and influence of Indigenous creativity in contemporary spaces. The program concludes with reflections from the featured designers, offering insight into their work and the role of Indigenous fashion in visibility, representation, and sovereignty today.
