About Mill Open House
Mill Open House is a free, drop-in weekend program where visitors can step inside Raleigh's historic water-powered gristmill and chat with local guides about its history. This event is best for elementary-aged children and older who can navigate the historic structure. Because the mill interior is not air-conditioned, dress for the weather and bring water bottles for the kids. It makes a great weekend stop because you can pair the quick mill visit with a walk along the park's scenic pond trails, making it easy to customize your afternoon based on your kids' energy levels.
