We’ve got a killer singer-songwriter lineup for y’all, with SoCal’s relaxed and nostalgic Mia Wilson, joined by songwriter and guitarist Donald Beaman who has shared the stage with some insane names including Jonathan Richman, Mdou Moctar, and William Tyler. Mia Wilson is the debut album from the Southern California singer-songwriter, blending piano- and guitar-driven compositions with lush orchestral arrangements and introspective lyrics, evoking the golden era of late ’60s and early ’70s Los Angeles records by Carole King, Judee Sill, and Jackson Browne. Written with her partner Skyler Lusteg, the album was brought to life with producer Tim Ramsey and drummer Trevor Beld Jimenez, with much of it recorded live over three days at 64 Sound in Los Angeles. Featuring the yearning “It Must Be So Easy,” the exuberant yet bittersweet “I Want It All,” and the evocative “Face To Face,” Wilson’s captivating mezzo-soprano vocals anchor a timeless collection. Released by Royal Oakie Records on November 14, 2025, the album is available on vinyl, CD, and digital platforms. A songwriter, singer, and guitarist residing in Northern California, Donald Beaman has released four albums. He performs both solo and with a backing band and has shared the stage with Jonathan Richman, Sharon Van Etten, Michael Hurley, Mdou Moctar, Marisa Anderson, William Tyler, Xylouris White, Shannon Lay, Mary Lattimore, Six Organs of Admittance, and Little Wings.
