Join the Maker + STEAM Team in the 3rd floor Innovation Lab during specified open hours to make your own Pride Parade sign! Durham's Pride Parade is Saturday, Oct 3rd from 12-2pm around Duke's East Campus. We will have poster-making supplies out in the Innovation Lab for you to make your own sign to bring to the parade if you would like to show your pride and support of our community. This is a self-paced activity. You can drop in during the listed Open Lab Hours. Innovation Lab Open Hours: Monday: Closed Tuesday: 1pm - 5pm Wednesday: 3pm -7pm Thursday: 10am - 2pm Friday: 1pm - 5pm Saturday: 11am - 1pm and 3pm - 5pm Hours subject to change based on staffing and programming needs.

Make Your Own Pride Parade Sign is a drop-in crafting workshop hosted in the library's third-floor Innovation Lab. The library staff provides all the poster boards, markers, and decorating supplies, so you can leave your own art bin at home and avoid the cleanup. This free activity is best suited for preschoolers through teens who can handle basic art tools. The Innovation Lab is located at the Main Library on Roxboro Street, which offers a free parking deck for visitors. You do not need to register in advance, making it easy to fit between morning naps and lunchtime. It is a smart weekday stop because it builds anticipation for the weekend parade at Duke's East Campus.
