Learn to Sew with Connecting with Threads

Learn to Sew with Connecting with Threads is a free, multi-week workshop series designed to teach older children and teenagers both hand-sewing and machine-sewing skills. Hosted at the Southwest Regional Library in Durham, this program guides participants through the process of creating practical items like dog blankets and pillowcases to donate to local community members. This program is designed specifically for tweens and teens ages nine and older. While the event is entirely free, registration is required for each individual date in the six-part series, and participants should plan to attend all sessions to complete their projects. The library offers a dedicated children's programming room and free on-site parking, making drop-off and pick-up straightforward for parents.
