Learn About Leaks & Water Efficiency with the Department of Water Management is an interactive science program where local utility experts teach children how to conserve water through hands-on activities. This free program takes place in the Children's Programming Room at the Southwest Regional Library in Durham and is designed specifically for elementary school students. While registration is helpful for the organizers, you can also just show up on the day of the event. The library has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of free spaces, so you will not have to worry about finding a spot. If you are looking for a productive way to fill the late afternoon gap after school lets out, this session offers a mix of local education and practical science. It is a simple, low-stress outing that teaches kids real-world habits they can actually use at home.
