Kayaking 101 class is designed to give paddlers the needed foundation of skills and techniques to build your kayaking skills. These group classes will have you on the water practicing as you learn and will allow for one on one time with an instructor so that you can get focused attention on your skills and your needed adaptions.Class lasts approximately 3-4 hours and all paddling equipment is included.Reservation/Payment must be made prior to arrival.Kayaks are for a SINGLE PADDLER. This class is not appropriate for children under 13.

Participants will spend the morning on the water practicing maneuvers with direct feedback from certified instructors. This session is restricted to participants ages 13 and older, making it a great fit for parents and teenagers to do together. All necessary gear, including single-person kayaks, paddles, and life jackets, is provided with your registration. You must reserve your spot and pay online before arriving at the park, as walk-ups are not permitted. Plan to bring water, sunscreen, and shoes that can get wet. Spending a Saturday morning on Falls Lake is a peaceful way to learn a new outdoor skill. The structured instruction ensures you feel secure and capable before you head out on your own future lake adventures.
