K-5th Adventures: Watercolor Wonders is a free, one-hour creative workshop combining storytelling and painting for elementary school students at the West Regional Library in Cary. This program is designed specifically for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, making it a perfect fit for early readers and older elementary kids alike. There is no cost to attend, and the library provides all the necessary art supplies, so you do not need to bring anything from home. The West Regional branch has a large, free parking lot right in front of the building, which makes getting kids in and out of the building quick and stress-free. It is an easy addition to your weekday routine because it bridges the gap between school dismissal and dinner. Your kids get to socialize and try a new art project, and you do not have to clean up the paint cups and brushes afterward.
