K-5th Adventures: Leaves is a free, hands-on library program where elementary schoolers learn about local trees and create autumn-themed art. Kids will practice identifying different types of leaves found in the Triangle and use them to design their own creative projects. This program is designed specifically for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. It is completely free to attend, and all materials are provided by the library. Because space and supplies are limited, you must grab a physical ticket at the front desk starting at 4:00 PM on the day of the event. The library has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of free spaces, and you do not need to bring any supplies from home. It is a smart weekday addition to your calendar because it bridges the gap between school dismissal and dinner with a structured, educational activity. Your kids get to messy up the library's craft tables instead of your kitchen counter, and they will come home with a completed art project just in time for the fall season.
