K-5th Adventures: Harvest Moon is a free, hands-on art workshop where elementary school students can celebrate the start of autumn by creating pastel drawings of the full moon. This forty-five minute program is designed specifically for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. It takes place at the Southeast Regional Library in Garner, which offers plenty of free parking in its main lot. All art supplies are provided, so you do not need to bring anything other than a willingness to let your kids get a little messy with pastels. It is a smart weekday afternoon stop because it bridges the gap between the end of the school day and dinner with a structured, creative activity that keeps kids off screens.
