JC Raulston Arboretum's Garden Storytime is an outdoor morning program that combines children's literature with nature-based activities in the gardens. What to Know: This program costs five dollars per child and is designed for toddlers and preschoolers. The arboretum offers free parking in the paved lot at the main entrance on Beryl Road. Because the entire program takes place outdoors on the grass, you should bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs, sunscreen, and water bottles for your little ones. This event makes a wonderful Friday morning outing because it provides structured outdoor time in a beautiful, enclosed space where children can safely explore after the stories end.
