The Raleigh Fire Department is partnering with Cool2Care nonprofit to strengthen awareness, understanding, and meaningful interaction with our autism community. This sensory‑friendly event is designed to create a welcoming space where children and families can meet firefighters and explore equipment at their own pace in a relaxed, supportive environment. Participants can look forward to hotdogs, sensory items, and opportunities for hands-on engagement tailored to the needs of autistic community members. Our goal is to build positive experiences, reduce barriers, and show families that the Raleigh Fire Department is committed to learning from and connecting with our community. Registration is free, and only one ticket per family is required. Space is limited, so we encourage families to sign up early. We look forward to celebrating the unique perspectives that strengthen our city.
