For September's scavenger hunt, we've hidden pictures of 10 cats throughout the children's area of the library (in honor of Happy Cat Month)... Can you find them all?! This scavenger hunt will run from Sept. 1st through Sept. 30th! If you have questions about accessibility, program stimulation levels, and/or need disability accommodations, please contact us at (919) 560-8592.
The Happy Cat Month Scavenger Hunt at Southwest Regional is a free, self-paced search activity where children locate ten hidden cat pictures throughout the library's dedicated kids' space. This drop-in activity is ideal for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary students who need a gentle transition between book browsing and playtime. Because it runs all day, you can arrive whenever fits your nap schedule. The library offers free parking in its main lot, and you do not need to register in advance. If your child has sensory sensitivities or you need accessibility accommodations, you can call the branch ahead of your visit at 919-560-8592. It makes a solid addition to your weekly routine because it combines a free indoor outing with a built-in way to keep little hands busy while you pick out your weekly picture books.
