For September's scavenger hunt, we've hidden pictures of 10 cats throughout the children's area of the library (in honor of Happy Cat Month)... Can you find them all?! This scavenger hunt will run from Sept. 1st through Sept. 30th! If you have questions about accessibility, program stimulation levels, and/or need disability accommodations, please contact us at (919) 560-8592.
The Happy Cat Month Scavenger Hunt at Southwest Regional is a free, self-paced search game hidden throughout the children's section of the library. Kids can hunt for ten hidden cat pictures tucked away among the bookshelves at their own speed. This activity is ideal for toddlers and early elementary children who need a little extra motivation during library visits. The hunt is completely free, requires no registration, and runs all day. Parking is easy and free in the regional library lot, and you can easily navigate the flat, carpeted children's area with a stroller. It makes an excellent weekend stop because it is entirely indoors, air-conditioned, and easy to pair with your regular book checkout. It gives kids a focused task to burn some quiet energy on a Saturday morning.
