For September's scavenger hunt, we've hidden pictures of 10 cats throughout the children's area of the library (in honor of Happy Cat Month)... Can you find them all?! This scavenger hunt will run from Sept. 1st through Sept. 30th! If you have questions about accessibility, program stimulation levels, and/or need disability accommodations, please contact us at (919) 560-8592.
The Happy Cat Month Scavenger Hunt at Southwest Regional is a self-guided search game where children find ten hidden cat pictures throughout the library's dedicated kids' space. This activity is best suited for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary students who enjoy a visual challenge. It is entirely free to participate, and you can drop in anytime during regular library hours. The Southwest Regional Library has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of spaces, and you do not need to register or bring any special supplies to play. This is an excellent option for a rainy day or a low-key morning when you need a structured activity without the pressure of a formal class schedule. You can easily pair the hunt with picking out your weekly books, making it a productive and calm outing.
