Fitness with Firefighters is a free community event where children can try out physical challenges modeled after real fire academy training. To celebrate National Fire Prevention Week, the Raleigh Fire Department is setting up three distinct workout stations at the park. Kids of all ages are welcome to participate and test their skills alongside local firefighters. There is no cost to attend, and the activities are designed to simulate the actual physical demands of the job. This is a straightforward, active way to spend a Saturday morning. It gives kids a chance to burn off some energy while interacting with local first responders in a relaxed, supportive environment.
