Join a Ranger to explore remnants of the historic trading path known as Fish Dam Road. We will hike about 4 miles in total, including at least a mile of off trail hiking along old roads. One major creek crossing and the ability to navigate some tricky terrain is required. At least 1 mile of hiking is off trail with one major creek crossing and some hilly terrain. This hike can be difficult for those unfamiliar with off trail hiking. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather, wear hiking shoes, and bring water! Spaces are limited, and registration is required . To sign up, call (984) 250-1370 or email eno.river@ncparks.gov . Include the number of guests in your party and a phone number where you can be reached if the event is changed or canceled.

The Fish Dam Road Hike is a guided four-mile trek through Eno River State Park to explore the remnants of an ancient trading path. A park ranger will lead the group through the Cabelands Access in Durham, navigating both established paths and historic off-trail routes.
