Family Storytime is an interactive morning program at the Cary Regional Library that combines books, songs, and movement to help young children develop early literacy skills. Designed specifically for children from birth through age five, this session offers a structured yet playful environment where kids can practice listening and social skills alongside their parents. To attend this free event, you will need to plan ahead. Because room capacity is limited, the library distributes free entry tickets on a first-come, first-served basis on the morning of the event. Plan to arrive at least fifteen to twenty minutes early to secure your tickets at the Youth Services desk. Parking is available in the adjacent parking deck, which makes it easy to navigate the walk with a stroller or multiple children. This program is an excellent Saturday morning option because it wraps up by 10:00 AM, leaving you with the rest of the day free. Since the library sits right next to Downtown Cary Park, you can easily transition from storytime straight to the playground or grab a coffee nearby without having to move your car.
