Family Fables (Storytime)

Family Fables is a free, interactive library storytime designed to get young children moving and learning through books and music. The session combines traditional storytelling with action songs and fingerplays to keep small hands and minds active. This program is designed specifically for children from birth through age five. It takes place in the dedicated Children's Programming Room at the East Regional Library in Durham, which offers plenty of free parking in the main lot. You do not need to register in advance, but arriving ten minutes early helps you secure a spot on the rug and settle in before the music starts. It makes an easy Saturday morning outing because it is entirely free, indoors, and wrapped up before lunchtime. Your kids can burn off some energy during the interactive songs, and you can browse the children's section for new books to take home for the week.
