Falling for Local is an all-day autumn festival at Dix Park featuring over a hundred local vendors, food trucks, and free kids activities. The event brings together regional makers and businesses for a full day of shopping, dining, and seasonal entertainment on the grass. If you are heading out with kids, pack a picnic blanket and a wagon. While admission, the pumpkin patch, inflatables, and hayrides are completely free, you will want budget for the fifty food trucks and local craft beer vendors. The Big Field offers plenty of room for strollers, but the terrain is grassy and can be uneven in spots. This is an easy weekend pick because it bundles all your favorite autumn traditions into one afternoon.
