Photo: Mace Publishing, LLC North Carolina Botanical Garden, at 100 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is holding its Fall Plant Sale on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There's no admission charge. The Garden grows the southeastern native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, trees, vines, ferns, and carnivorous plants for sale right here in the nursery. Proceeds support the Garden's research in plant conservation and propagation. Follow the Facebook event for updates. Drop by the Ritchie Bell Seminar Room during the Fall Plant Sale to find a wide selection of books on horticulture, plant identification, native plants, herbs, garden history, landscaping, gardening ideas, and design, all at bargain prices. Donated by members and kind supporters of the Garden, many of these books are duplicates of the library’s collection. Sales will support the library fund.
