What is Fall Litter Sweep at the Neighborhood Park at Carpenter Fire Station Road? This event is a community volunteer morning hosted by the Town of Cary to clean up local park grounds. To participate, head to the park at Carpenter Fire Station Road. The town typically provides cleanup supplies like trash bags and gloves, but bringing your own reusable water bottles and sturdy work gloves is highly recommended. This activity is best suited for elementary-aged children and older who can safely navigate the park borders and help collect litter. This is a productive way to spend a Saturday morning outdoors. It teaches kids about environmental stewardship in a park they likely already play in, and you can easily pair the volunteer session with some playtime on the slides afterward.
