Fall Fun at Grasshopper Farm is an outdoor autumn festival featuring a four-acre corn maze and seasonal activities in Knightdale. If you are planning to go, parking is available on-site and admission to the farm grounds is free. The maze and activities are best suited for toddlers through early middle schoolers who have energy to burn. Because the paths are dirt and can be uneven, leave the umbrella stroller at home and opt for a sturdy wagon or baby carrier instead. Be sure to bring sunscreen and water, as there is very little shade on the property. This is a great weekend option because it offers a low-pressure, affordable way to get the kids outside. You can spend an hour or two navigating the maze and picking out pumpkins without the massive crowds and high price tags of larger regional festivals.
