Join us for an evening storytime filled with stories, songs, dancing, and coloring! All ages are welcome. All children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult. This storytime is presented by all of the Children's librarians at Main on a rotating basis. Evening Family Storytime is a free weekly gathering at the Durham Main Library featuring books, songs, movement, and a simple coloring activity. Led by a rotating team of children's librarians, this session offers a different style and energy each week, making it a fresh routine for your Wednesday nights. This program is designed for children of all ages, though kids under eleven must have an adult helper with them. The event takes place in the dedicated Children's Programming Room on the first floor. Parking is available in the library lot, and you do not need to register in advance. Just bring your library card if you want to check out books afterward. While this is a weekday event, it serves as a perfect low-stress trial run for weekend library visits. It gives you a chance to scope out the children's section, meet the staff, and help your kids pick out a stack of books to keep them busy through the upcoming Saturday and Sunday.
