Evening Family Storytime is a free weekly gathering at the Durham Main Library featuring stories, songs, movement, and coloring. Each week, a different children's librarian leads the group, bringing their own style and favorite books to the circle. This program is designed for children of all ages, though kids under eleven must have an adult with them. It takes place in the dedicated Children's Programming Room on the first floor. Parking is available in the library lot, and you do not need to register in advance, making it easy to attend even if your afternoon schedule changes at the last minute. While this is a weekday event, it serves as a low-stress outing to help you reset before the weekend. It offers a structured, screen-free activity that fits easily between school pickup and dinner.
