Durham School of the Arts, 400 N Duke Street, Durham, North Carolina, is hosting its 15th Annual Fall Festival: Día de los Muertos on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m. Don't show up late! The festival starts with a parade! It's free to attend. The festival offers an evening of student exhibitions, performances, music, food, hands-on art-making, and cultural celebration. Before the festival, enjoy the return of the school's community Día de los Muertos Parade, starting at 5 p.m. Students, families, community organizations, artists, and festival partners are invited to participate. The parade will celebrate the creativity of Durham's young people and create a moving, collective expression of remembrance, culture, imagination, and community. This year’s celebration, themed El Crecimiento / Growth, honors the ways people, communities, memories, relationships, and creative traditions evolve while remaining connected to what came before.
