What is Character Skate at United Skates? This is a themed public roller skating session where children can meet and skate alongside costumed mascots like Sonic, Stitch, or a Minion. Before you pack up the diaper bag, keep a few logistics in mind. Admission is thirteen dollars per person, and you can rent either traditional roller skates or inline blades at the counter if you do not own a pair. The rink has a dedicated parking lot, but it fills up quickly on Sunday afternoons, so arriving fifteen minutes before the doors open at one o'clock will save you a long walk from the street. This event is an easy way to burn off some weekend energy indoors, especially for elementary-aged kids who are just learning to balance on wheels.
