What is Cars!: K-2nd Adventures? This is a free, hands-on afternoon workshop where early elementary students learn basic design concepts by building and customizing their own toy vehicles. What to Know: This program is designed specifically for children in kindergarten through second grade. Admission is entirely free, but space inside the program room is limited. You must pick up a physical ticket at the Youth Services Desk starting at 3:30 PM on the day of the event. The library has a free parking deck attached to the building, making it easy to get inside even if it is raining. This weekday afternoon activity fits perfectly into the after-school slump, giving kids a creative outlet to work with their hands while you enjoy a quick stroll through the book stacks.
