Bookmobile at Dix Park is a community outreach event where the Wake County Public Libraries mobile unit brings books and library services directly to the park. What to Know: This event is open to all ages and is completely free to attend. You will find the mobile library parked near the Gipson Play Plaza, which has nearby parking lots and public restrooms. Bring your current library card to check out books, or bring your ID to sign up for a new card on the spot. This is an easy weekday morning outing because you can combine a library run with outdoor playtime. Kids can pick out their own books and immediately sit on the grass to read them, making it a productive and relaxing morning.
