Free Basketball open play at Raleigh Community Center. Open to all ages. No registration required - just show up with your free Open Play Pass. Get your pass at any Raleigh community center or online at RecLink.
Basketball Open Play - All Ages is a free, drop-in community gym session held at the Raleigh Community Center. It offers an open court for anyone looking to shoot hoops, practice dribbling, or play a casual pickup game in a relaxed indoor setting. To participate, you just need to obtain a free Open Play Pass, which is available online through RecLink or at any city community center front desk. There is no pre-registration required, so you can arrive and leave whenever fits your schedule between 10:15 am and 4:00 pm. Parking is available in the main community center lot, and you should bring your own water bottles as active kids will get thirsty quickly. This is a highly practical option for a weekday outing because it requires zero financial commitment and zero planning. It is an ideal spot to let your kids run off their extra energy on a rainy or humid afternoon when outdoor playgrounds are not ideal.
Do we need to register in advance for this open play session?
No registration is required, but you do need a free Open Play Pass to participate. You can sign up for this pass online through the Raleigh RecLink system or grab one in person at the community center desk before you head onto the court.
Is there a cost to attend, and is parking free?
The basketball session is completely free of charge. Parking is also free and available in the dedicated lot right outside the Raleigh Community Center.
