What is 40 and older - Basketball Open Play? This is a weekly drop-in recreational basketball session designed specifically for adults aged 40 and up at the Raleigh Community Center. To participate, you just need to show up with a Raleigh Parks Open Play Pass. You can grab this pass for free online through the RecLink portal or quickly register at the front desk when you arrive. Wear comfortable athletic shoes, bring a water bottle, and park in the main community center lot, which offers plenty of free spaces close to the gym doors. This is a great Friday night option if you want to squeeze in some cardio, meet other active adults in the area, and still make it home in time for a late movie. It offers a relaxed, non-intimidating environment to play at your own pace without committing to a formal league.
No pre-registration is required, but you do need a free Open Play Pass, which you can get online via RecLink or at the community center desk before you play.
Is there a fee to play?
This basketball session is completely free for all participants aged 40 and older.
