Babies & Bubbles: Lapsit Storytime is a free weekly library program in Durham designed for infants, toddlers, and their caregivers. Led by Ms. Natalie, the session focuses on early literacy through gentle lap bounces, fingerplays, simple songs, and interactive stories, ending with open-ended play and bubbles. This program is designed specifically for children from birth to 24 months old. It takes place in the Southwest Meeting Room at the Southwest Regional Library, which offers free parking in the adjacent lot. You do not need to register in advance, making it easy to attend even if your morning routine runs behind schedule. If your child has sensory sensitivities or you need accessibility accommodations, you can call the library ahead of time at (919) 560-8592 to make arrangements. While this is a weekday morning event rather than a weekend activity, it serves as a perfect low-pressure outing to help structure your week. It gives your child a chance to socialize in a calm environment and helps you build a routine with other families in the Triangle area.
