Photo courtesy of JB Duke Hotel JB Duke Hotel, 230 Science Drive, Durham, North Carolina, is hosting their Artist in Residence Series in fall of 2026. This program is in partnership with Durham Art Guild. Every Tuesday evening, starting at 6 p.m., through October 27, 2026, a visiting artist will be working on JB Duke Hotel's lobby, creating a masterpiece in real time. There is no Artist in Residence event scheduled for October 20. This is a rare chance to watch artwork being created in a relaxed atmosphere, as well as a chance to engage with talented artists. Guests are invited to get cozy in the Lobby Lounge’s array of plush seating areas while engaging with each artist. A diverse selection of sharable appetizers, creative entrées and handcrafted cocktails are available for order throughout the evening. Menus are available online.
