The 5th Annual Apex Sculpture Walk is officially ready to welcome visitors! Eleven sculptures are installed in and around downtown Apex featuring artists from North Carolina and beyond. The Sculpture Walk is available from April 2025 through March 2026. While you are out, you can also discover and enjoy sculptures that are part of the Apex Art Collection! Learn more about those pieces here.
The Apex Sculpture Walk is a self-guided outdoor art exhibition featuring eleven temporary sculptures placed throughout the downtown area. Visitors can use a digital map to locate each piece, making it feel like an art-themed scavenger hunt through the heart of town. This free activity is best suited for toddlers in strollers up to middle schoolers who can help navigate the route. Free public parking is available at the Town Hall campus or along Saunders Street. Because the route follows paved downtown sidewalks, it is entirely stroller-friendly, though you will want to bring water cups and sun hats for the kids on warmer days. It makes a reliable weekend outing because you can move at your own pace, stop for snacks at a local bakery, and easily head home when the kids get restless.
You can park for free at the Apex Town Hall parking lot or use the public spaces along Saunders Street and Salem Street to access the start of the route.
Is this activity stroller-friendly?
Yes, all eleven sculptures are located along paved downtown sidewalks, making the entire route easy to navigate with a stroller or wagon.
