Annie Louise Wilkerson Nature Preserve's Take a Child Outside Week: Bird Buddies is a hands-on nature workshop where young children learn about local bird species through crafts and a guided walk. Kids will discover how birds communicate and use paper tubes to build their own play binoculars before heading out to search the fields and forests. This program is designed for children ages three to seven, and a supervising adult must remain with them throughout the session. The event is free, but you must register online in advance to secure a spot.
