Nixon, Williams & Gage are an acoustic trio rooted in bluegrass, early country, and traditional finger- and flat-picking styles. Their music pays tribute to legends such as Doc Watson, Merle Travis, John Hurt, and Etta Baker, combining intricate guitar work with bass, harmony vocals, and a warm acoustic sound. The trio has performed extensively throughout North Carolina and at major bluegrass events, releasing six CDs and earning recognition from outlets including Bluegrass Unlimited, Bluegrass Today, and the Raleigh News & Observer.
